HONG KONG, November 4, 2026 – Accenture joined hands with Hong Kong Cyberport to host the annual Demo Day of the FinTech Innovation Lab Asia-Pacific (FILAP), Accenture’s flagship fintech accelerator program in the region. The event brought together leading financial institutions, investors and industry leaders to explore the latest fintech innovations and showcased eight startups selected for the 2026 cohort. These startups presented solutions addressing some of the financial services industry’s most pressing priorities, including AI adoption, data intelligence, climate resilience and operational transformation.
Held during Hong Kong FinTech Week x StartmeupHK 2026, Demo Day marked the culmination of the program, through which participating startups worked closely with leading financial institutions to validate, refine and scale their solutions for real-world applications across the financial services industry. Selected from 150 applications, this year’s eight finalists were guided by 18 independent mentors alongside mentors from the program’s financial institution partners. Throughout the program, startups took part in 30 one-on-one meetings with financial institutions, gained a deeper understanding of enterprise requirements, strengthened their business propositions, and built meaningful relationships with industry leaders.
Demo Day showcased how their offerings had evolved through direct feedback, industry engagement and ongoing refinement, and gave participating startups an opportunity to present their solutions to a global audience during a week expected to bring together more than 45,000 industry leaders, investors, policymakers and innovators from over 120 economies. The solutions presented at Demo Day reflect some of the most significant trends shaping financial services today, including enterprise AI adoption, trusted data infrastructure, operational transformation, sustainable finance and embedded financial services. The program continues to foster collaboration between industry leaders and technology innovators, supporting the development and commercialization of solutions that address evolving market needs.
The Demo Day featured keynote remarks from Joseph Chan, Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury; Marco Tsui, Managing Director, Hong Kong Client Group, Accenture Greater China; Ir Eric Chan, Chief Public Mission Officer of Cyberport; and other distinguished industry leaders, who highlighted the growing importance of innovation, responsible AI adoption and cross-sector collaboration in shaping the future of financial services.

Marco Tsui, Managing Director, Hong Kong Client Group, Accenture Greater China, said: “Financial institutions are moving beyond AI experimentation and focusing on enterprise deployment. The question is no longer whether to adopt AI, but how to do so securely, responsibly and at scale. The companies presented today are addressing that challenge with solutions designed for enterprise adoption, helping organizations unlock business value while meeting requirements around governance, security and resilience.”
Ir Eric Chan, Chief Public Mission Officer of Cyberport, said: “The pioneering solutions presented at this year’s Demo Day highlight the immense talent driving Hong Kong’s digital economy forward. As Hong Kong’s digital tech hub and AI accelerator, Cyberport is committed to supporting initiatives that accelerate the adoption of impactful solutions and strengthen the city’s position as a leading global fintech hub.”
The 2026 cohort worked closely with executives and subject matter experts from the program’s financial institution partners, including AIA, AXA, Bank of America, Citi, Hang Seng Bank, HSBC, J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley, SC Ventures by Standard Chartered and Zurich. Collectively, these institutions provided participating companies with direct access to senior business and technology leaders, offering practical insights into the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of financial services.
Addressing Key Industry Priorities
The 2026 cohort reflects several of the most significant trends shaping financial services today, including enterprise AI, trusted data infrastructure, investment intelligence, climate technology and embedded insurance.
Together, the participating companies demonstrate how emerging technologies can help financial institutions improve decision-making, enhance operational efficiency, strengthen risk management and create new customer experiences.
As financial institutions move from AI experimentation to deployment, the challenge is no longer identifying promising technologies, but finding solutions that can meet enterprise requirements around governance, security and scalability. The FinTech Innovation Lab Asia-Pacific helps bridge that gap by connecting technology innovators directly with industry leaders and decision-makers.
Demo Day marked the culmination of these engagements and provided participating companies with an opportunity to explore future partnerships with financial institutions, investors and ecosystem stakeholders from around the world.
